Yes, You Should Work Out Today!

Dec 28, 2012 by

For some reason I find with a home gym it’s harder to get in a good workout. Crazy, right? Sitting at home knowing that my gym is right outside doesn’t motivate me as much as I thought it would. Don’t get me wrong. I love having a home gym and keep a regular training schedule. But I have to force myself to stop doing (fill in blank: working, cleaning, cooking, washing clothes, ironing, gardening, ect) and get in the gym.

I guess when I trained in a gym it was routine. I went at the same time every day. I showered, dressed, pulled my hair up, and headed out the door. I was compelled to get there. Now I can go workout in my pajamas at any ol’ time.

So, when I lack the will to set down the dust mop and get my lift on, I turn to this fabulous chart:

Hopefully you can find motivation with it as well. There’s no excuse too great to keep you from exercising. Make it a habit. Make it happen.

  3. I find great comfort in my ‘home gym’, such as it is. I really like the mental fortitude it takes, “Yes, Melanie, it is time to workout”, “Today is a workout day.” And then, doing it. Love the #Obamaarms hater comment.

  6. This is a great infographic to share with my friends that need an extra boost to get their tush to the gym. Still, I don’t understand how many gals and guys spend so much time collecting all those motivational pins on Pinterest boards. Instead of spending 1 hour gathering all those pics, they should instead spend that 1 extra hour at the gym. Still, given that people like that still are around, you should include a Pinterest icon in the social media menu at the end of the post. What do you think?
